Has chai got caffeine in it?
Yes, on average, a cup of chai tea can have anywhere from 25 to 100mg of caffeine. This is a similar amount of caffeine to black tea. Our instant chai selection does contain caffeine in the form of black tea and green tea.
How can I make instant chai?
To make our instant chai, all you need to do is to:
- Add one sachet to 180ml of hot milk or water (not boiling) depending on what is advised on the box
- Stir in and leave to simmer for a few minutes
- Then enjoy!
Is Unik Chai halal?
Our products are made with ingredients that comply with halal dietary standards. But please be aware we do not currently have a halal certification.
Is Unik Chai vegetarian?
Yes! Our collection of instant chai is suitable for vegetarians. Our products are not suitable for vegans as they contain milk powder.
What is the shelf life of Unik Chai?
Unopened products have a shelf life of 12 months. Once opened, their shelf life is 30 days. After preparation it is 2 hours.
Where do I store my sachets of Unik Chai tea?
The best place to store your chai tea sachets is in an airtight, opaque container, ideally made from glass, ceramic or metal. This prevents odour transfer and maintains flavour. The container should then be placed in a cool, dark, dry place. Exposure to air, light, moisture and varying temperatures can degrade the quality of your chai tea.
